Fourth Day 14th Aug

Woke up this morning in our luxury B and B in Cheddar.  We were blown along the Somerset Levels by a cracking tail wind arriving just before 19:00

Earlyish start at 08:45  Heading for Clevedon on the coast the first rain of the trip started there, still very warm though.  Cycling around Gordano was interesting; M5 way above on the right.  Around all the cars parked near the docks then up and over the Avon on the M5, well the cycle path.

Down in Avonmouth the traffic was horendous, fast and many lorries, we didn't manage to find Route 42 until half way to the northern Severn Bridge.  Eventually we found the safe way, crossed and arrived at Chepstow for our picnic prepared by Joan and Steve brilliant, thanks.

Onward to Hereford up the Wye Valley.  78 miles  12 miles rolling avg  45.33 mph max
