Day 6 Oswestry to Home

What an exciting day with not a moment to spare! Breakfast at 7am and then 60 miles to Birkenhead to catch the ferry across the Mersey. Carole kept singing the song but could only remember first line!!! Brother Bill met us for part of the ride home. Thanks Bill and thanks to Helen and Mark for making us a lovely meal tonight.

  1. A tandem rider is stopped by a police car.

"What've I done, officer?" asks the rider.

"Perhaps you didn't notice sir, but your wife fell off your bike half a mile back . . ."

"Oh, thank God for that," says the rider - "I thought I'd gone deaf!"

Ferry across the Mersey , this lands the place I love, is now stuck in my head as an ear worm. What are you singing up the Shap? x

    1. It is very quiet any way, we go so fast on the new bike I can't hear for wind noise. Really enjoying the whole experience; sights, sounds (bells) smells, people, company, blogging, too many to list. It's wowie.
